I was introduced to Dr. Nakeema through a co-panelist, Carol, who I met in Oct of 2023 at the Women in Tech Regatta in Amsterdam. Carol wanted to connect me with Dr. Nakeema when she learned more about the work I am doing with Sarell, my business. I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Nakeema face to face in April this year in Berlin for lunch. We talked about family, tech, language, cultures, her organization “Freunloop”, activism, and community well-being among a few things. We left looking forward to the opportunity to work together in areas we are both deeply passionate and centered around responsible and inclusive tech development. I am particularly intrigued, grateful and inspired by Dr Nakeema’s expertise and commitment as an explainable AI advocate and seize any opportunity to support her and her work.
