I met Abel in 2023 in Gothenburg, Sweden through my friend Melody. He was the best non-professional walking historian I’ve encountered during all of my travels. We visited several landmarks from the Gustav Adolf statue to the Fish Church, home to fish mongers of the 1800s, to Esperanto Square where the one remaining wall that surrounded the city still stands.
